Conference Sales & Marketing Executive, £19,463 pa - Maternity cover until June 2009

Bath Tourism Plus is responsible for promoting the city of Bath and its surrounding rural areas as 'Bath & beyond'. The company is a public / private partnership and a membership organisation.

As part of the marketing team, the primary purpose of the Conference Sales and Marketing Executive will be to generate and convert conference and group enquires into business for Bath Tourism Plus members. The role will also involve marketing Bath and the surrunding area as a conference and group travel destination through attendence at trade events, maintaining the website bathconference.co.uk, e-marketing, production of the venues directory and sales missions.

Applicants will have knowledge of Bath and experience within the conference industry. You will ideally be a graduate or have a minimum of 2 years experience in a sale role.

Full training will be given, but applicants will be expected to be highly computer literate, as well as having excellent communication and administrative skills.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated individual to join the Sales & Marketing Team based at Ashton Court Mansion in Bristol.

The ideal candidate will be self disciplined and well organised, preferably with hospitality experience. In addition excellent administrative and customer service skills are essential. You will have confidence in dealing with people at all levels.

This role requires a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual who can think on their feet and is used to working in a busy environment. Excellent Microsoft Word skills along with some knowledge of Excel are required.

The role involves preparing proposals, and contracts, meeting clients, and answering sales enquiries. Administrative office based experience is a distinct advantage.

The ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken English is essential as effective client and colleague communication, face to face, by email, and on the telephone, are integral to this role.

Hours of work will be five days a week 9am-5pm, working five days over seven including some weekends.

Reservations Sales Booking Agent
Do you see yourself as a person who is always prepared to deliver an extraordinary service? The Novotel Bristol are looking to recruit a Reservations Sales Booking Agent to join the their team. In this role you will assist the Reservations Manager taking bookings for accommodation within the hotel.

Duties include:
~ Taking bookings via telephone, e mail and fax.
~ Inputting information on the computer system.
~ Filing all relevant paperwork and correspondence checks.
~ Providing excellent customer service.

No experience necessary as full training will be given.

Maintenance Assistant
In this role you will assist the Maintenance Engineer with daily maintenance defects, preventative maintenance, decorating, plumbing, and basic electrical work within the hotel.

Duties include:

~ To respond to maintenance requests and operations from hotel guests and staff
~ To help keep technical equipment well-maintained
~ To identify problems and defects, and help resolve them
~ Assist with Health and Safety inspections
~ Provide assistance with scheduled and preventative maintenance operations under instruction from the Maintenance Engineer
